PLATFORM OF VIEWS - Back    

To experience landscape freely in unmediated circumstances becomes progressively more difficult in an age of interpretive constructs. ‘Viewing Points’ located at tourist sites, whilst directing the public gaze, nevertheless allow for some degree of private contemplation, which hopefully give rise to individual experience, reflection and expression. Visitors to the ‘Platform’ were invited to contribute to the installation by writing thoughts and observations of their experience across the interpretation panel.
